It’s time for change
It’s been a tough few years for PSA members. Across the state, we’ve heard the same thing: people feel let down, unheard, and fed up with leadership that’s out of touch. While union membership is trending upwards nationally, our PSA is losing around 500 members every year. Why? Because the current leadership under Natasha and Christian has failed to deliver.
They signed off on wage deals of just 1.5% a year over four years, well below inflation - while the public sector in other states pulls further ahead. Meanwhile, Natasha’s salary as General Secretary has climbed to around $250,000 a year. Members are struggling with rising costs, under pressure at work, and getting no real support from the union that’s meant to stand up for us.
That’s why we’re stepping up—not backed or funded by political parties or as insiders, but as everyday members who’ve had enough. We’ve been out meeting with hundreds of members in workplaces, and the message is clear: it’s time for change. We need leadership that listens, has industrial skills, takes action, and puts members first - not deals behind closed doors and makes top-down decisions.
As the union election approaches, we’re ready to fight for a better PSA - one that’s transparent, accountable, and member lead.
